PhotoVaganza

Gert Willems and myself organized a meeting for everyone involved with model photography. We called it PhotoVaganza. And it was a big success: around 80 models, makeup artists, photographers and bodypainters showed up yesterday. Everyone left a happy puppy: good food, drinks, lots of opportunity to shoot pictures and a whole lot of fun.

Thank you everyone for coming. We hope to see you all again soon. And a special thanks to everyone who helped us make it a fun day: Stefan, Chris, Glenn, Lieve, Francois of Black & White Limo (for providing the limo) and Ajan for the pizza service.

In between all the running around and talking to a lot of people, I managed to shoot some photos too. Thank you Hilde, Lesley and Mariana for spending some time in front of my lens (again). Here’s a few impressions… Hilde outside the abandoned mill:

Since this first edition of PhotoVaganza was such a big success, we plan a 2nd edition later this year. Stay tuned…

Makeup Shoot for Jessie Van Roie

Jessie is a young and talented makeup artist I met at the Apertura SD at Brepols. Everyone at Apertura liked her work. So we decided to help her out with her portfolio. Today’s shoot was all about her work. We had 3 models come in to the studio. Jessie did their makeup and we all did our best to shoot a couple of nice images she could use in her portfolio.

Mariana in the Studio

I had the lovely Mariana in the studio today. We seemed to connect almost right away. We had a blast and shot something completely different then we had planned. But the shoot turned out fine.

Thank you girl! I hope this shoot is the first of many, and I hope it is the beginning of a long friendship.

More from the shoot with Mariana in her album.

Project Shoot with Miranda

I’m working on a little photographic project that involves sign language. I’m not gonna say too much about it. I want to keep it a little secret until it’s finished.

But we also shot some other photos. A lot of fun… more photos in this album. Thanks girl! Hopefully, again sometime soon.

Workshop at Antwerp Photo Museum

The good people at the Antwerp photo museum and Centrum voor Beeldexpressie organized a day of workshops for hobby photographers today. I opted for the model photography workshop (of course). The workshop was led by An Nelissen and Uli Schillebeeckx. And we had the privilege to work with 5 models of FashionMove model agency.

It was an educational experience. I believe that you can only learn a trade through lots of experience and small tips. And I am happy if I only pick up 1 little thing on a workshop like today. I picked up a few this time, so I’ll have to say this workshop was just perfect.

Thanks everyone! There’s a couple of images of the workshop in my gallery.

Inke’s 1st Shoot

I shot with Inke and Tamara at Fort V in Edegem today. I met Tamara last May at a model shoot with my photo club DIFO. I did not have the chance to work with her then. So when both girls asked me for a shoot, I could not refuse. It was great fun working with them at such an interesting location.

It was Inke’s 1st shoot ever. I loved working with her. She has a natural talent for modeling. I hope I can work with her as a fashion model again in the future.

Anderleus Revisited

I revisted the mine site in Anderleus with Katrien and Bart Henseler. And despite the weather, we had a superb shoot. I continued my fetish fashion/glamour project. I think that these old abandoned location are just the right place for these kind of shoots. I’m pleased with the results, but I’m not quite where I want to be. So, I will have to continue with this little project.

The album is right here. Thank you Bart for this super location. And a big “thank you” to Katrien for posing and a very fun day.

Shoot with Sofie at “La Vallee”

I discovered a lovely little valley in the Belgian Ardennes while geocaching with a friend a couple years back. I immediately knew this would be the perfect location for a bikini shoot. It took me some time, but I finally got around and did a shoot there today with Sofie.

photo

The location was just perfect. Sofie was impressed… and so was I! It was even better then I expected it to be. We had a great day. And I’m sure that I be going to that place again next year.

Here’s some more shots from today. Thank you Sofie for posing, and thank you Tomasz for being my assistant.

Shoot with Tine

Shot with Tine today. Just as last year, Luc got us in at that unique location full of concrete and machinery again. Thanks for the location Luc. And a big thank you to Tine for posing. I had a great day and a couple of nice photos.
