Haven’t had a real model shoot in a little while. I had something special planned for today: a shoot with my favorite models and close friends. I have to admit… I was all nervous. I wanted this shoot to be nothing less than perfect, and a lot of fun.
And it all worked just great. The shoot was a lot of fun. But I made the girls suffer from time to time. They worked hard and in between all the laughs, they did some serious work. I am quite pleased with a couple of photo’s.
And by the time it is time to call it a day, the serious work turns in to silliness. I hate bein’ in front of the camera, but the girls dragged me out there… kickin’ and screamin’.

More photos and silly shots in this gallery. Thank you girls for dragging me in front of the camera. And thank you Alain for standing by my side and shoot with me.
Adobe introduced the new features of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 at their Adobe Summer School seminar this afternoon and showered us with photoshop tips and tricks. Lots and lots of inspiration and things to try! On top of all that, we got the shoot a couple of pics.
I never quite understood the art of shooting landscapes. I just don’t get it. I’ve been trying to make decent landscape photo’s for almost 3 years now. And they just don’t work. But today, I think a shot a decent one. This photo was taken at the beach in Bredene. I had a dramatic B/W image in mind when I shot this…
Summer only really starts when the airshow season starts. Every year around this time of year, we pitch our tent an airfield of the Dutch Air Force. We stash it with camera’s, lenses, food & drinks and a laptop.
If we’re lucky, we to shoot a couple of high speed birds. If not, we just have a relaxing day in the sun…
3 times is a charm! I have entered in my photo club’s (DIFO Oud-Turnhout) photo challenge for the 3rd time this year. And for the 3rd year in a row I have won a price. I finished 2nd this year in the category color photo. I actually did quite well: 4 photos in the top 20 in color photo and 5th place in black & white.
The jury said my work was different and modern. They encouraged met to keep up the good work; quite an ego boost.
This is the winning (2nd place that is) photograph…
Thank you Evara for posing. And thank you Bart for access to this beautiful location. I owe you both a drink!
For a long time, I had this crazy idea of shooting in my Bathroom. I know… It’s been done before. And it will be done again. But since I knew it was going to be a challenge to properly light the scene, I wanted to try it myself.
Finding a model wasn’t difficult at all. Mariana, one of my favorite models, was kind enough to work with me on this shoot. It turned out to be not as easy as it looks. Lighting was difficult, finding poses that work too. There is certainly room for improment, but we were both pleased with the result tough.
Once again: thank you Mariana for your patience and your cooperation! You’re the best!
