Joke in Westward Bound Outfit

More often then not all you need is 30 minutes or so to produce a nice image. Joke and I had planned a little shoot a couple days back. The plan was simple: 1 outfit by Westward Bound at a location in Antwerp. And guess what? All it took us was 30 minutes to come up with this beautiful shot of her. Thanks Joke for the shoot and all the laughs in between.

Scott Kelby’s 2013 Worldwide Photo Walk

It had been a few years since I joined one of Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photo Walks. But this year, I had the chance to join the Antwerp walk. I enjoyed the walk led by Marco Voet. Here’s a photo I took at the MAS during the walk.

Shooting New Latex Attire with Thaïsa

It has been a real work in progress: it took me quite some time to fix a date to do this shoot with Thaïsa. That’s what happens when work gets in the way. But eventually we managed to set a date and work together in the studio.

Thaïsa was eager to model some of the new latex outfits I got from eBay recently. And she was patient enough to let me try some lighting setups during the shoot.

Mylene Farmer Concert in Paris

I’m not a big fan of Paris. I think almost everybody knows that. In fact: even though I know it has some nice restaurants, a couple of museums worth visiting, I hate going to Paris. In part, this has to do with a couple of bad experiences at concerts in Paris. For some strange reason, I was disappointed with every Bruce Springsteen concert I saw in Paris. And there was a few other thingies too. I have vowed never to go see a concert in Paris if the artist does not sing in French.

But when Mylene Farmer plays in Paris, I will head on over… Double time! Her shows are amazing, and whenever she plays in Paris, there is a kind of magic in the air. That’s when I love Paris. She’s playing a series of shows at the Bercy Palais Omnisport right now. I have just returned from a fun weekend in Paris: seeing some of the sites, enjoying the last few days of summer and a show of Mylene last Saturday.

The Scotch Whisky Experience

The Scotch Whisky ExperienceThe perks of traveling for the job: I had to go to Scotland for a Cisco training course. But I did take some time to do something nice in the evening. Edinburgh sure is a nice city. I’ll definitely go back there for a longer visit.

In the short time I was in the city, I got to see The Scotch Whisky Experience, much to my liking I must say.

Latex Fashion Shoot with Domi

I met Domi Bogaerts when she was a contestant for Plus Model Awards. She won the award for most photogenic model in the 2012 edition. I am a resident photographer for that pageant and I got to work with her as several times over the course of the competition. After the finals, we kept in touch and we became quite good friends.

It had been awhile since we actually did a shoot together, so when she said she wanted to do another shoot with me, it wasn’t too difficult to set something up. With the help of Liesbet Liekens as a makeup artist, we shot some latex fashion in my home studio with a Westward Bound dress.

Domi BogaertsIt was nice to shoot with her again yesterday. Thanks Domi! And a big thank you to Liesbet Liekens for doin’ Domi’s makeup today.

Studio Shoot with Sarah

Sarah PhilipsSarah Philips was a contestant for Young Miss Fashion 2013. She was in fact 2nd runner up in the pageant. I am a resident photographer for Young Miss Fashion, so I had the pleasure to work with her during the pageant. So when she asked me for a shoot, I was happy to say yes. I shot her in my home studio yesterday.

Thank you Sarah! I love working with you and you can come back any time.

15 Minute Shoot with Shannety

Shannety LequenneSometimes, all it takes is 15 minutes and a nice location to get a good shot. I shot my friend Shannety at Brasserie Berlin this afternoon: no make up, no expensive lights, no flashy styling. Just her and me and my camera.

Retro Shoot with Liesbet

Liesbet was a contestant for Plus Model Awards last year. That’s where I worked with her as a model for the 1st time. A while back, she had asked me if I wanted to do another shoot with her. She came up with the idea for a retro shoot, sent me some pictures for inspiration, we worked on the styling together, she did her makeup–after all she is a talented makeup artist–and we set out for a little shoot.

Liesbet Liekens

There is another shot from her in my Models Portfolio.

Liesbet is a contestant for Belgian Maxi Model Awards. Do me and her a favor: give her a little support before the finals on September 28.
