Ilse DeLange at 013 Tilburg

I’ve been a long time fan of Ilse DeLange. I started following her music back in 1998 when she released World of Hurt. I can remember that very 1st show at Vooruit in Gent: she was hardly known in Belgium and I had a blast at that small show.

Ilse DeLange

So last night was sorta special for me: after all those years of seeing her shows, I got to shoot pictures at her show in 013 in Tilburg on assignment for Frontview Magazine.

Heather Nova at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven

I was shooting on assignment for Frontview Magazine at the Heather Nova concert in Eindhoven last night.

Heather Nova

An intimate evening with… Heather Nova was a very enjoyable show. And it was so nice to catch up with a couple of friends and colleagues before the show.

You can see the rest of my photos on the Frontview Magazine website.

Miss Fashion Rock Chicks

I had a little shoot with a couple of ladies of Miss Fashion 2014: no more than 15 minutes with each of them. It proves again, you don’t need a lot of time to shoot a couple of good pics!

Shooting for Charity

My colleague Davy is competing in this year’s Marathon Des Sables in support of his favorite charity: www.muco.be He needed a promo pic to kick off his charity campagne. He had asked me to shoot that portrait, and this is what we came up with this portrait of him posing as a Bedouin.

A Long Time Coming

Finally had the lovely Karlien in the studio for a shoot that was 2 years in the making. I met Karlien in 2010 when she was a contestant for Miss Fashion. We talked about doinā€™ something special back then. After she won the contest and she became Miss Fashion 2011 and both our lives go kinda busy, the project got put on hold. But after I pinned a Lara Croft like picture on Pinterest a while back, she brought the project back to life. We started planning, got a team together and this shot came out.

Karlien in Latex Catsuit

A big thank you to the team for helping us putting this together: Pascal Vos of Fortress Airsoft for the airsoft weapons, my friends Phoebe and Glenn for makeup and assistance in the studio, and of course Karlien!

Jacqueline Govaert in Concert

A long time ago–or at least is seems a long time ago–Jacqueline Govaert was the lead singer of Krezip. When the band decided to quit, Jacqueline decide to pursue a solo career. She released her 1st solo album Good Life in 2010. Since then she’s been writing new songs and is about ready to release a second album.

Last night, she played the 1st of 3 try-out concerts at Leeuwenbergh in Utrecht. I covered the concert as photographer on assignment for Frontview Magazine.

Latex Studio Shoot

Having 2 models in the studio for a latex shoot always makes for a special atmosphere: lots of laughs, lots of silliness, lots of fun. Today was no exception, but when it comes down to getting the shot, it has to be serious. We had a lot of fun in the studio, a great team and the result is this smashing shot.

Welcome NaƤra

NaƤra Demey

I became the proud godfather to this little girl earlier today: NaƤra Demey. NaƤra is the daughter of my dear friend Phoebe and she’s just too cute.

Workshop Food Photography

I like to cook. I don’t mind spending half a day in the kitchen to experiment, try new recipes, cook a good plate of food and serve to friends. And I like to take pictures. I’m not claiming I’m good at either of them, but I enjoy it. I’ve been posting snapshots of my dishes on Instagram. So when I saw Centrum voor Beeldexpressie was hosting a Workshop Food Photography, it seemed kinda fun to join that workshop and combine 2 things I like to do.

Asian Spring Rolls

Daphne Aalders of Food For Foodies showed us how to prepare the Asian style dishes. And Regula Ysewijn (Miss Foodwise) gave us tips on how to dress a set for food photography, and dress the plate, light it and shoot it. It turned out to be a fun day with good food and very useful photography tips.

Autumn in the Park with Shannety

It was a cold, grey and windy afternoon. Not quite what Shannety and I had in my for our shoot in Antwerp. But we made the best of it. And it was actually a lot of fun. We used the wind and the occasional ray of sunlight to our advantage. And shot a couple of nice pics. Shannety–at age 15–is a wonderful girl to work with: she’s professional on camera and just too much fun off camera!

Shannety Lequenne

Once more: thanks for a fun shoot Shannety. And for an afternoon full of laughs! See you soon, I’m sure. We still have a lot of photos to do and plans to make šŸ˜‰ Oh… And thank you for the beers too! I am going to enjoy them for sure.
