My earlier post on Yaël’s shoot, Latex and Suede, was only half of the pics we did. After a little break with lots of time to chat and catch up things, I changed the set. The outfits we selected for the 2nd half of the shoot were a lot bolder. All black outfits set against a stark blue backdrop. Yaël posed as catwoman, a biker girl and showed off her tattoos in a latex & lingerie outfit.
The lovely Axelle sends X’s and O’s from my photo studio to all my readers. She wore what seems to be her favorite latex dress to complement her pistachio colored boots and that bright pink purse. I said to her that something baby blue would go well with that combo. We couldn’t find anything blue, so I decided to created something in the background. X’s and O’s were just the right thing.
And lets’ be clear about one more thing… Huey Lewis & the News were absolutely right: it’s hip to be square!
Model Kirsten stepped out into to the spotlight wearing black latex from William Wilde and them gorgeous thigh high boots from Pleaser Shoes. She looked mighty fine in that outfit.
And I was quite pleased with the spotlight effect I got out of my PIXAPRO Optical Snoot Spot Projector and my Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM macro. Definitely a setup to revisit in the near future.
Remember my earlier post called Meet Me In The City? Well, Shannety and I shot another set that day. A little bit more my style, a little more edgy but still with the same class that only Shannety can bring. A bit of latex, a bit of vanilla clothes and a lot of fun… All we needed to make this series work.
Joke proved that you can combine latex with just about any other fabric. That black shiny latex top and the tight corset she wore of her jeans were just the perfect combo.
After she wiggled out of her jeans, the fun really started. Joke put on a pair of ballet heels and she continued the shoot as if she wears ballet heels daily.
