I had been looking for glitter boots for quite some time. When I finally found the perfect pair, and ordered them online, they got stuck in customs for some strange reason. They arrived just in time for my photo shoot with Daria. She loved those glitter boots so much, she just had to wear them for this shoot.
Oh, and btw… Keith Urban (check this music video) couldn’t be more wrong: blue is her color!
Eva and I had a mood board lying around for this Like A Doll project for ages. We thought it was about time we go started on it. For me, latex would be the outfit of choice. Obviously! Eva came up with the idea to use red ribbon for the ropes. It took us a little more time than expected to get that part setup. Therefor, the set for our shoot wasn’t as dressed up as I would like to have it. But I am still happy with the results.
Actually, I think the shoot turned out to be a little more kinky than expected. Maybe I aught to let my naughty side out it the open more often.
I have to commend our make-up artist Ashley Jennes for her excellent work. She did Eva’s make-up and hair. Ashley owns a beauty salon called Brush and Beauty. She’s a great MUA, professional and fun to work with. She’s quite famous actually… She was part of the make-up crew for a couple of Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah movies. See if you can spot her name in the movie credits.
I liked the results from earlier shoots with Magalie and Shannety using edge lights so much, that I decided to have another go at it with Shannety. A little more light this time. To show the reflective features of the semi-transparent latex blouse from Libidex. I love the atmosphere from the edge light. You’ll be seeing more of these types of images from me in the future.
And who would have thought you could create a little extra je-ne-sais-quoi with 2 bottles of Face Mist?
I had used my right light to create a sort of aureola behind model Shannety in an earlier shoot. The next logical step would be to add color gels to that idea. So for these 2 photos, I taped a red color in front of my ring light. And I lit Shannety with 2 different colors obviously.
I’ve been exploring the possibilities of my Falcon Eyes FLC-65 ring lamp. Thus far I am quite impressed by its performance. Especially if you consider it only costs around $100.
I already used it as a main light to shoot portraits with Romi. This time I used it as a hair light to shoot angelic portraits with Shannety. A set that was inspired by the album cover of Lauren Jenkin’s No Saint album.
I come across amazing photography all the time. I find work by other photographers and models often very inspiring. One such artist is Joel Alvarez. I’ve been admiring his Black Tape Project for many years.
I decided to have a go at it myself. So I started to study his work, bought tape, and some small tests with it. Obviously, I don’t want just copy Joel Alvarez’ work. I want to give it my own little touch. How else but by combining the #blacktapeproject with latex?
I had already added a little touch of tape in a shoot with Jolien. No enough to really call it #blacktapeproject though. When I had Shannety in the studio on a rainy day somewhere last September, we decided to have a go at a something that was closer Joel Alvarez’ #blacktapeproject. We went for black latex lingerie from William Wilde, brand new high heels from Pleaser Shoes and touches of tape.
We learned that is not as easy as it looks to apply the tape. It takes a lot of patience from the model and from me to apply the tape. There’s a couple more things I need to figure out. I am confident however, that I am on the road to something cool.
Magalie like this latex bodysuit so much, she wanted to wear it right after I bought it for Lady Lucie Latex. It is just one of the few bodysuits I acquired in 2019. And I think this one could double as swimwear.
I think Magalie and I should take this outfit to the beach this summer. What do you think?
Cold drizzly days, the sun setting before you get home from work, … I just don’t like winter. It always has me longing for warmer weather. ‘Cause who would want to go outside and shoot in my jacuzzi like Kiani did last summer? Exactly, nobody!
I might not have summer right now, but at least I have Kiani in the studio again today.
I stumbled on to the website of Refuse To Be Usual while looking for new ballet heels to complete my latex wardrobe. I fel in love with their ballet heels straight away… So many different styles to choose from. So many cool designs.
I went for this pair of ballet wedges Magalie is so graciously showing off.
But even without the ballet heels this outfit combining latex by William Wilde and Lüllepop is simply stunning.
