Video Reel: 2017 in Review

2017 was quite a good year for my photography. I decided to only work on TfP basis and only on projects I wanted to work on. It meant less photos, more time for fun, better planning, more learning and cooler photos. And I had the good fortune to meet a very talented make-up artist that I get along with very well.

The result is a 4 minute video reel with the highlights of my collaborations with model Shannety and make-up artist Elem. Well, actually, this video covers about a year and a half of working with these 2 lovely ladies. But who’s complaining?

And yup, I taught myself to basic video editing in Apple iMovie and Adobe Photoshop.

I would like to thank everyone who lent us a helping hand on our shoots.

Model: the amazing Shannety.
(Most) Makeup: the very talented Elem Durmaz.
Music: Cosmic Storm by A Himitsu.
All photography and editing by myself.

Latex Lingerie with Shannety

I picked up some latex lingerie from William Wilde at the autumn sale. Perfect for a quick shoot with Shannety. 2 outfits that mix and match with other stuff in my collection. They’ll come in handy on future projects.

Deeze Beeze in the Garden of Eden

It’s getting cold outside and the days are getting shorter. The perfect time for a throwback to a photo shoot I did this summer. Deeze Beeze and I met in the botanical gardens of the University of Gent. Sorta hidden in the heart of the city, they have very beautiful green houses–where photo shoots are not allowed–and nice garden around it. It is a great place to shoot though. Perfect for latex and feathers, and a model with unicorn hair.

Latex and More with Lizzy

I had my friend Lizzy in the studio over the summer.

Actually, she had asked me if I wanted to do a photshoot for her friend Yana as a birthday present. She said she would love to shoot with me after I finished working with Yana. Lizzy knows I like working with her, so I guess she knew I would say yes to shooting with her.

She said she would arrange a make-up artist. She introduced me to Nadia. Nadia is a talented make-up artist I had already met a couple of times but never had the pleasure of working with her. She did an awesome job on Lizzy’s make-up. And both ladies surprised me with a truckload of outfits. Nadia styled Lizzy both in the outfits provided by MOOD-S and well as in some of the latex fashion from my collection.

I was an absolute joy to work with both ladies. I hope to work with Nadia and Lizzy again in the near future. I would really like that.

Friends in Latex

Remember last month’s posts about shooting lingerie with Shannety and Kyara? Well, since I had both ladies in the studio together, I asked them to do a quick session together in latex. We found matching dresses in my collection: Kyara is wearing a dress by House of Harlot, Shannety is wearing one of her favorite dresses from Kinkykex. Makeup by Elem again.

Shannety in Mesh and Latex

There’s nothing wrong with combining latex fashion with regular clothes. It’s a combination you more and more in mainstream media and even on the catwalk of fashion shows of haute couture designers. And if they can do it, so can I. I had my muse Shannety in the studio earlier this year and we shot cool portraits.

The make up for this photo shoot was done by my dear friend and make up artist Elem. Latex fashion by William Wilde, Marquis and Mico Couture Latex.

Nanoe as a Latex Bunny

Nanoe is definitely sweeter and nicer that her top leads to believe. We had a lot of fun back in February on our 1st collaboration together. We had agreed to do a series of portraits and then some fun stuff. I will stick to the fun stuff. The portraits are nice. Nanoe has a very pretty face after all. But the fun stuff is really fun, and way cooler that the portraits we did.

When I asked Nanoe what latex outfit she wanted to wear for the last session of our shoot, she said she wanted to wear the kitten ears. And that is exactly what happened: she wore the Larissa Latex Harness Dress from Pandora Deluxe with a belt from Mico Couture and the Kitten Ears from Lady Lucie.

Sharon’s Curves Are on Fleek

There’s a lot of perks to working with an experienced model. But Sharon always brings a little extra to the table. She’s always well prepared, brings more outfits than we can shoot in an afternoon and she always has something cool. Take this CURVES ON FLEEK top. It is just too cute not the use in on a photo shoot.

No photoshoot with me would be comeplete if it does not involve some latex. And combining lingerie and latex was definitely a good idea. It shows off Sharon’s beautiful curves and tattoos. I really love this photo.
