I am used to the sound of military jets flying over the house. Living close to the Air Bases of Volkel, Gilze-Rijen and Kleine Brogel, there are F-16’s in the skies quite often. But when I hear, the sound of multiple jets coming and going my aviation brain is automatically put in a state of alert. Some of the jet noise did not sound familiar so I decide to go and have a look outside. As I step out on to the back porch, I gasp and run back inside to grab my camera.
“There is a Lightning in the sky! There is a Lighting in the sky!” As I grab my camera, I still can’t beleive it, but there really is a F-35 Lightning II of the Royal Dutch Air Force in the sky. A very rare sight in the skies over Belgium and the Netherlands. There really was a Lightning in the sky and it was doing flyby’s over my home.
On top of that, I saw a couple of Vipers hiding in the tree line. First 1, then 2, then even more F-16 Fighting Falcon of the Belgian Air Force appeared over the treeline behind my house. Not in the regular combat formation–about 2km apart–but much closer. I knew something was up.
I keep watching and in true Top Gun style, I exclaim: “Holy sh*t! It’s Vador!” as I see the Dark Falcon skipping over the trees too. In case you don’t know: Vador is the 2020 F-16 demo pilot for the Belgian Air Force. His F-16 is nicknamed Dark Falcon.
I know that these aren’t the greatest pics but you can just about make out the 2020 paint scheme of the Dark Falcon.
He was part of a 12 ship formation performing a flyby at Kleine Brogel Air Base with the Dutch F-35 and an Airbus A330-200 MRTT as a farewell to the commander of the Belgian Air Force I learned later.
The A330-200 MRTT of the Royal Dutch Air Force is rare sight in the skies over Belgium. Stationed at Eindhoven Air Base, these A330-200 MRTT will serve as air-to-air refueling planes for NATO. I watched as a number of F-16 Fighting Falcon of the Belgium Air Force lined up with it for a formation flight.
Elinne called me up and said she needed a photo for the header of her website. She asked if I would mind shooting a couple of portraits for her. I happily obliged and we walked away with this cool sporty chique photo.
It is a lot of fun to shoot for Shannety’s online shop. You all know I much I like working with here, right? There is probably no better days than when she in the studio.
And I don’t mind shooting a little fashion from time to time. But shooting latex is a lot more fun for me. So we decided to combine the best of both worlds. We matched the Blaine blouse from Shannety’s SecretLittleCloset to a latex skirt from my latex closet. A true closet secret you might say.

Daria and I had spent the whole day in a hot studio having lots of fun. We felt it was time for a refreshing dip in the pool. We were down to the last outfit: a lime green body from William Wilde that we matched with a rhinestone belt I got from Elissa Poppy. That would prove to be the perfect outfit to splash around in. The perfect ending to a great shooting day.
Oh, wait… Possibly the best part of the day was spending the evening talking over dinner and a glass of wine. The summer of 2020 wasn’t all that bad after all.
Little over a month ago, Shannety–one of my favorite models–launched her webshop SecretLittleCloset. She worked hard on this project. For her website she got a little help from me. And it was pretty much a matter of course that I would also be the one to photograph her collection for her website. Here’s a few pics from the sessions for her 1st collection.
As you can see, Shannety is very happy with the release of her webshop. As am I, by the way. I am very happy and honored, she choose me as her resident photographer to shoot her collection. And I’m truly proud of what she’s accomplished over the last couple of months. You rock girl!
When your favorite model calls you to ask if you wanna help her with a new project, what would you say? When I got the question from Shannety, I said:”What are your plans? How can I help?”. That started us on an adventure to build a webshop. She did most of the work. I helped her with the photography of course and provided a lot of consultancy. And tataaaa… A few weeks later, or rather a few months later, she has a webshop selling the cutest dresses and more.
I am quite excited about the launch of her webshop today. We’ve both put a lot of effort and hours in the project. I am proud of what we’ve accomplished so fare. I wish her the best of luck with the shop. And I will continue to support her of course.

I don’t put out model calls very often. But when I do, I am fortunate enough to get response from the coolest ladies. Axelle replied to my model call of January to test new lighting setups.
The blue & pink shots from a previous post were results from one of the new setups I wanted to try. The other setup was one with colored rim lights. Having done some black & white portraits with rim lights previously, I wanted to take it to the next level.
Back in January, I had Shannety and her friend Elinne over for a shoot. We started of that shoot with some portraits and stuff. But you know me: no shoot is complete without some latex. So halfway through the shoot Shannety and I shifted to a latex and vanilla outfit in a little more moody setting. At first, she wore a half cup semi-transparent latex bra from Elissa Poppy and stylish black vanilla pants.
Eventually, Shannety changed in to a full latex outfit and her friend Elinne joined her for a small series. Shannety’s wearing a skirt from William Wilde. As is Elinne. And Elinne is wearing a top from KinkyKex. Elinne is wearing high heels from Pleaser Shoes.
I put out a model call to test a new lighting setup and some ideas. Axelle replied with great enthusiasm that she would love to come and try on latex for the 1st time and be the talent for my test shoot.
After shooting 2 sets of a mix of latex and vanilla clothes–read about part 1 and part 2 of these shoots–I setup for my test shoot while Axelle dressed up in a 3 piece latex outfit. After about 15 minutes of trying, I was happy with the light setup and we continued to create these 2 cool images.
I helped both photos along by adding background elements in Photoshop.
Shannety and Elinne make a perfect pair. Whether in black & white or in color, these 2 girls look stunning together.
