Christmas Spirit

We must be getting close to Christmas. The radio is playin’ those same 20 joyfull songs over and over again. Some I actually like, but most are just too corny.

And everybody gets those obnoxious Christmas lights out. There is that many lights out now that I almost missed those 2 beautiful shooting stars the other day. I don’t think they were pointing me to the Promissed Land, but it was way more spectacular that what I see on the streets these days. Wondering if my wishes will come true though.

This morning, there was a truck driver that put on some extra lights in the spirit of Christmas. Or maybe he was unhappy that I was overtaking one of his colleagues at the maximum allowed speed while he wanted to go faster, and flashed his lights at me. Anyway, it gave me such a warm fuzy feeling inside. So I flashed mine back at him. Did you red lights work great with white? Trucker driver must have liked it too, ’cause he played a little tune on his horn and even danced with me for a while.

It’s another 10 days ’till Christmas… Maybe there is still enough time to get it right.

But I’m not complaning. ‘Cause I’m happy with those few people out there that care about me and love me. You know who you are… And you’re getting the most precious gift I have to offer: a place in my heart and a warm welcome to my home any time you like.
