Springsteen Ticket Controversy

As Springsteen plays his 1st of 2 concerts at the IZOD Center tonight, he makes the local TV headlines. Not with his music though, but with the controversy surrounding tickets sales for today’s and Saturday’s concert. Apparently, many thousand tickets where held back. A part of them by Springsteen’s management and Sony Music according to my9 news.

It seems a lot of people didn’t get in when tickets went on sale back in February. I guess I must have been very lucky… I hope it’s gonna be all worth it than.

Look In Their Eyes…

Bruce Springsteen and Tom Mortello (Rage Against the Machine and the Nightwatch Men) perform The Ghost of Tom Joad with the E-Street Band at the LA Sports Arena on April 15. A display of pure and raw emotion. This is why I love Springsteen’s music I guess.

The Stuff that Dreams Are Made off

There’s a place out on the edge of town sir
Risin’ above the factories and the fields
Now ever since I was a child I can remember that mansion on the hill

In the summer all the lights would shine there’d be music playin’ people laughin’ all the time
Me and my sister we’d hide out in the tall corn fields
Sit and listen to the mansion on the hill

Countin’ Down to New Bruce

Springsteen Single I’m counting down to the release of Springsteen‘s new album. The album titled Working on a Dream will be released on January 27, 2009. All 12 songs on the album are produced by Springsteen and Brendan O’Brien, and recorded in collaboration with the legendary E-Street Band.

The new single from this forthcoming album is available for download through iTunes. It has a very catchy tune to it. It sounds a lot like a pop recording, while it clearly has a deeper meaning. And hence it builds on the same tradition as his previous albums The Rising and Magic. It has me all excited and looking forward to the release of the album and the upcoming tour.
